Background:
Leo holds a Ph.D. in educational psychology from Auburn University, a master’s degree in special education from Clark Atlanta University, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Morehouse College. His research interests include teacher recruitment and retention, racial and gender equity, and stereotype threat. Leo enjoys serving his community and is a proud and active member of the Urban League of Greater OKC Young Professionals, 100 Black Men of Tulsa, and the Down Syndrome Association of Central Oklahoma.
Why I do this work:
My personal and professional mission is to bridge the achievement gap for systemically underrepresented communities. I am personally motivated to do this work, as I have the lived experiences of the successes of those who did the work before me.
