The Senate confirmed Ted Mitchell as Under Secretary of Education this afternoon. A former college president and innovator – most recently leading New Schools – Ted one of the most thoughtful and committed people you will meet in the sector. A former state official in California he’ll also bring that, needed, perspective to the work.  It’s a great addition to the team at USDOE.
