Background:
Adrienne Slaughter is a senior consultant with Bellwether Education Partners in the Strategic Advising area. Prior to joining Bellwether, she worked as a consultant at L.E.K. Consulting, where she led project teams and advised clients navigating organizational change. Adrienne also has extensive experience in the nonprofit sector and in conducting consulting projects for Chicago Public Schools and a school district in Indianapolis. She began her career as a Teach For America corps member teaching high school math outside of Atlanta. Adrienne holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree in social studies and African American studies from Harvard College. She currently resides in Chicago with her two cats.
Why I do this work:
Growing up, my parents devoted a lot of time and energy to help my sister and me navigate the public education system and to ensure that we had access to the best educational resources. Regardless of background or family resources, every student should have access to a high-quality education and be given opportunities that allow them to thrive.
