Background:
Siobhan started her career in education with Teach For America as a math teacher in Newark, New Jersey. It was in this setting that she discovered her passion for data and recognized the power of transparency, joy, and humility when partnering with families and students to achieve results.
Siobhan holds a master’s degree in education from National Louis University in Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and economics from Emory University, where she graduated magna cum laude. She currently lives in Atlanta with her husband, Marcus, and their sons Malcolm and Matthew. Siobhan and her husband are avid runners and enjoy time on the trails running alongside their boys as they bike.
Why I do this work:Â
Growing up in the Bronx, New York, my educational experience taught me both the limitations of being educated within an inequitable system and the power of a community working collectively to fill in the gaps created by these systems. I do this work because I believe a more equitable educational ecosystem is possible.
