Background:

Christi Shingara is a senior executive assistant with Bellwether. She brings more than 10 years of experience supporting C-suite executives. Previously, Christi worked in the Dean of Student Affairs office at Bard College supporting the dean of students as well as the vice president for student affairs, and managing 10 employees. She also has prior experience working at Bucknell University and NBCUniversal Media.

Christi resides in Saugerties, New York, situated between the Catskills and New York City. Hiking, paddleboarding, running, and fishing are some of her favorite pastimes, but she also loves visiting New York City, where she lived for 12 years. Her Shih Tzu, Bella, is a certified therapy dog and they attend therapy dog events on a regular basis to help improve the lives of others. She has also volunteered with the Food Bank For New York City and Astor Services for Children & Families. Christi holds a bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania College of Technology.

Why I do this work:

I’m originally from a rural upbringing where well-funded schools were sparse. I’ve always felt that everyone should have the same opportunities to get a good education, regardless of location.
