Background:
Brianna Terrell is director of knowledge management at Bellwether. Prior to joining the organization, she was chief of staff at College Possible, a national college access and success organization. There, she led annual and strategic planning efforts, marketing and communications, and a variety of projects on behalf of the CEO and board of directors.
Brianna also worked as an investment director at Charter School Growth Fund — supporting leaders who were expanding charter school networks across the East Coast and Midwest — and has extensive experience in strategy and operations at Distinctive Schools, a Chicago-based charter management organization, and as a consultant at Deloitte.
Brianna holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Indiana University. She resides in Chicago, where she spends her free time painting, competing in bar trivia, and exploring the endless culinary offerings of the city.
Why I do this work:
As a K-12 student, I received a home-school, private, and traditional public education — all while witnessing my parents navigate the challenges of advocating for their foster children in an ill-equipped school system. I strongly believe that significant investment, equitable access, innovation, and the dismantling of systemic barriers are critical to enable all students to receive the high-quality educational opportunities they deserve.
