Background:

Kevin Casillas is a summer intern at Bellwether in the Policy and Evaluation practice area.

Prior to Bellwether, Kevin served as a research assistant at the Stanford Project on Adaptation and Resilience in Kids Lab. There, he conducted and analyzed interviews with parents about their emotion-socialization practices when supporting their children’s learning at home. Additionally, he supported the development of psychometric assessments of young children’s curiosity, creativity, and social problem-solving. Kevin also has experience in policy and evaluation  during his time at the Aspen Institute, Urban Institute, and Stanford Center on Poverty and Inequality.

Kevin holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a minor in psychology from Stanford University.

Why I do this work:

I believe that every individual is entitled to a high-quality education and to the range of opportunities it provides. I am driven to identify and address challenges to students’ ability to maximize their academic potential and to foster families’, communities’, and schools’ capacity to support their children.
