Background:

Lauren Miller is a senior associate partner with Bellwether in the Strategic Advising practice area. Since joining Bellwether in 2013, Lauren has advised leaders across the sector on ways to grow and deepen their impact. Lauren brings experience in growth planning, organizational development, and implementation support to the team. In addition to state- and school-level strategic planning, Lauren has worked to develop new organization business plans as well as to scale initiatives that aim to elevate and center student voices nationally. Prior to joining Bellwether, Lauren spent more than three years in the Insights and Planning department at POSSIBLE, a digital advertising agency. In 2012, Lauren developed a strategic plan and designed a new organizational structure for the Education Writers Association as an Education Pioneers Fellow.

Lauren holds an MBA from Georgetown University and a bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University, where she double-majored in international relations and politics. She lives in Maryland with her husband and two daughters.

Why I do this work:

My commitment to equity and education comes from my experience growing up — both in attending public schools that fell short of my vision, as well as being active in my religious community. I do this work because I deeply believe that all children, regardless of their background, should have access to a high-quality education so they can achieve their dreams.
