Why I Do This Work
I experienced both extremes of our stratified education system — first, as the recipient of a high-quality independent school education that provided me with boundless opportunities, and later as a public teacher in an under-resourced school within a large urban district. I believe that access to a quality education should be a right and not a privilege dictated by race or socioeconomic status, and I work to support the educators who are building a stronger and more equitable system for all students.
